Under Armour Headquarters at Tide Point
Historic Adaptive Re-Use
Construction Cost: $66 Million
Square Footage: 480,000
Completion Date: 2004-present
Built in 1929 and comprised of 5 buildings named Tide, Dawn, Ivory, Joy, and Cascade, the Tide Point property was originally the home of The Proctor and Gamble Soap Company. After significant renovations and additions in 2004, it is now the global headquarters of Under Armour, one of the largest sports clothing companies in America. The campus sprawls over 15 acres in the Locust Point neighborhood on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
Our work during the original renovations included vertical expansions, removal of floors, new stairs and elevator towers, and ensuring the structures could withstand extensive mechanical and electrical systems. Today, Skarda continues to consult on various projects at this site including additions, office modifications, parking structures, and routine structural investigations.
